1.等红灯wait for the green light
许多人是不是脱口而出：wait for a red ligh，哈哈，其实错得很离谱哦。
Traffic lights tell drivers and pedestrians what they must do at intersections and along roads. They tell road users when to stop and go, when and how to turn and when to drive with extra caution.
交通灯告诉司机和行人在十字路口和沿路应该做什么。他们告诉道路使用者什么时候该停车，什么时候该转弯，什么时候该开车，要格外小心。

因为wait的本意是等待人或事的出现，介词for后接其等待出现的对象，我们是等红灯变绿灯，我们想要的，等待的是绿灯啊，所以正确的说法应该是：wait for the green light或wait for the red light to change。
