无论是在职场中，还是生活中，经常遇到的一个高频词汇就是“调查”，例如领导让你调查个客户资信，生活中调查下行业薪资水平等。今天我们就来学习下英语中关于“调查”的各类地道表达！
◢ Investigate 调查
‖ investigate the cause of the accident 调查事故原因
◢ probe 细查，探究
‖ The journalist was probing into several financial scandals. 那记者正在深入调查几起财务丑闻
◢ inquire 调查
‖ inquire of sb about sth 向某人调查了解某事
‖ inquire into sth 调查某事 → 如果要表达“彻查”，可以用thoroughly进行修饰，例如inquire thoroughly into sth
【“调查”相关表达】
- 沿着好几条线索进行调查→ follow several lines of inquiry 【另外，这里线索也可以用leads表达】
- 对....展开调查 → institute inquiries into sth 【展开调查，除了用institute以外，我们还可以说carry out, hold, undertake, initiate 或make inquiries等】→ “要求对某事开展调查”，怎么表达？我们可以说 call for an inquiry into sth

【关于“调查”不同的表达】
